In the district of Bhandara in Maharashtra flourishes, the craft of Kosa silk. This craft has created a livelihood for many across various villages for generations. The raw materials are produced within the area and distributed to weavers across the district.
The special Karvatkati and Karvati motifs are what these crafts are known for. Supplying products for export, designers, and on-demand, they make a versatile amount of products. With a simple pit loom installed in every household, one sees families working towards producing different designs and creating a livelihood.
Mumbai and Nagpur being the major centers for the craft, the Handloom Corporation, such as Indhryani, etc. promote the craft further.
Play with the poetry in the background to bring the visuals to life with words.
